Twilight part 2, the Gateway episode

okay…so I’ve already consumed my 2nd Twilight ticket in gateway and the line of people inside and outside the cinema is impressive!

that’s my first time to see lots of people hovering to get a ticket and it was like premier night all over again. I quietly gasped when I entered the darkened cinema to see the seats ALL FILLED UP! There were literally girls from high school to college to yuppies. If in Shangrila the audience squealed, in Gateway, they scream!

I couldn’t contain my laughter and ‘OMGs’ eventhough I’m watching it alone, because that crowd is so far the craziest and noisiest moviegoers I’ve ever been with! Its like watching a concert instead of a movie! So, just to share, here are the scenes which they literally screamed at:

- just like from the previous post, the first dialogue of Bella about her death

- Jacob Black’s entrance together with Billy

- the Cullens and the Hales’ first appearance in the cafeteria

- Edward’s first appearance in the cafeteria (i still think the make-up is hilarious)

- first appearance of Carlisle

- The kiss

- when Edward and Bella walked to school togeher, “I’m going to hell anyways” (Edward is hot there!)

Eugh…I can’t remember the rest. Aside from screams, it seems like Twilight became more of a comedy than the mushy romantic flick we’ve all expected from the book. For the second time, I was laughing my ass off for Jasper! and for Edward who was ’sleeping’ at the hospital!

They’re right. You maybe disappointed when you watch the film for the first time but you’re going to appreciate it the second time around. Though the make-up was really bad, I began to appreciate Rob’s acting (except for the Biology scene and the one where Carlisle told him to stop sucking Bella’s blood). HOWEVER, Kristen Stewart sadly, still did not improve in my opinion. She has this weird thing going on with her head. She was like shaking it whenever she talks. I’m sorry but I don’t think she did well in the film. Though I like that she put some spunk into Bella’s character but her voice is sooooooooooooo MONOTONOUS and bland. When Edward glittered in the sun, she said “you’re beautiful” but it sounded so lame. What is supposed to be a romantic and touching scene at the hospital where she is telling Edward “Don’t leave”, people actually LAUGHED when she sputtered and stuttered her words. Hay, I laughed as well, but it made me sad because I think…she messed that scene up.

I have high expectations for the sequel. Since the movie earned so well, hope the people in-charge should think it over. Better effects and better acting workshop esp. for Bella. Hee…this might be too mean already.

There.

As insane may this sound, I might be watching it again for the third time. HAHAHA!

The wait was over!

Good god, the wait was excruciatingly long and I was suppose to watch it on the showing date itself (on the 26th) and already bought a ticket. however, two of my co-armies (Obachan and Chan) insisted on watching at the premier night! The hell, i bought another ticket and watched it anyways because I couldn’t contain my excitement!

So we were at the Shangrila cinema and saw a massive population of teen girls. It was expected and we scanned the eager teens while we line-up for popcorn. What happened next, Bella was saying her first dialogue regarding death and squeals erupted inside the cinema! To be honest, we were laughing our asses off because of the reaction but we shut our traps when Edward entered the cafeteria. Then, we shamelessly joined the squealings (heee!). BUT our squeals turned into howls of laughter because the make-up was really bad.

Rob Pattinson is a great actor however, his make-up as a vampire is totally wrong. I don’t know, maybe it’s the cinematography? The foundation on their faces suck  and it makes you think, “hmmm…vampires do shave?” (Rob’s stubbles on his chin are not covered…hahahaha!)

Edward’s reaction in Biology class was a surprise for us. We have mixed emotions regarding on how he instantly covered his nose the moment he smelled Bella’s scent around the room. He looked like he was about to vomit instead of restraining himself not to eat a delicious cheesecake. Maybe because we’re still faithful to the details of the book. I don’t know.

Next, the kiss was hot! As Obachan said Bella was a bombshell!

The baseball game was another highlight as well.

Catherine made the characters really cool and Bella’s classmates have their own appeal. I like the fact that this movie has an indie vibe to it and the fight scenes were done pretty good.

and the crowd’s favorite is actually….James. Chan was actually anticipating for him and lots of the girls squealed for him as well.  Yep, he’s hot and bad.

Sigh. What about the other ticket? I’m still going to watch it today, hehehe! and I’m excited once again just like last night.

because…i lack sleep.

apparently, i’m running out of words to write for a paper that’s why I decided to drip some of thoughts on my blog instead.

again, i really can’t wait for twilight…but i guess i won’t dwell on that one for now…

hmmm…what to write??? i will refrain to whine, i will focus on the dream whether or not it happens…hmm…i think Daniel Craig is oozing with charms…haha, i watched Quantum last night and that’s the first time i saw Mr. Craig as James Bond. Great! No sex scene! I mean, i did not say it in a sarcastic tone but you know, the 007 agent has been known for his numerous escapades. I like this James Bond now. Suave and slick but the charms are still there! More brutal, a lot of internal issues and the way he kill is very graceful.

oooookay…i think i should go and eat lunch then work on my paper.

i just have to do this while i’m struggling (again!) to finish a 6-page movie analysis.

oh darnit!

i can’t wait for Twilight! dammit dammit dammit! the unbearable 22 days are, well, unbearable! wouldn’t give a shit about it if i hadn’t known that rob pattinson will be playing a vampire. so, yeah, he’s the very reason why i got interested and participate with the hype.

i expected him to have fangs! but nonetheless, Meyer’s vampires are cool. they have more capacity to kill if they can mingle with humans very well! plus, they don’t die under the sun!

dammit!

now, back to work.
